A Landscape Design Consultant has completed and passed the four National Garden Clubs, Inc.’s Landscape Design Study Courses. A minimum of 5 years must elapse and five refresher events taken before a Consultant is eligible to receive a Master Certification. Consultants and Master Consultants are required to refresh credentials within 5 years from the previous certification to remain in good standing. Students who have successfully completed two of the four required Study Courses may join the Landscape Council by contacting the Treasurer. Two trips or meetings are planned each year. Dues: $10 annually
The Landscape Design Council awards to any FGCMD garden club submitting an application for outstanding landscape work at a public site the following: Cash Awards: 1st place $150; 2nd place $100; 3rd place $50 and Honorable Mention $25. A second Landscape Design Council Award of $50 will be given to a club submitting an application for outstanding work at a Habitat for Humanity site. All projects must be completed by September of the year submitted and received for judging by October 1st. Project may not be submitted again within three (3) years. A grant of $200 will be available each year to a club that submits a proposal for a Habitat for Humanity project. Awards announced during the following FGCMD Annual Meeting. LANDSCAPE DESIGN COUNCIL SLIDE PROGRAMS
The Landscape Design Council has several slide programs on different aspects of gardening available for rental to garden clubs. The charge is $50.00 for FGCMD $75.00 for non-federated clubs. Contact Connie Hoge, chef@wjjhoge.com , for information about the different programs that are available.
